Balanced Minds: A Teen Guide to Emotions and Connections (Ages 13-17)
Hi Teens, it’s Carlotta and Nicole, your group leaders and we are excited at the opportunity to meet you! Together for 8-weeks (virtually) we are going to work together to build skills managing big emotions such as anger, anxiety, sadness, insecurity and much more. We will spend our time learning how to build relationships, increase communication skills, all while connecting with each other through activities and group discussions.
We usually focus on topics such as bullying, self-esteem, confidence, coping skills and assertiveness – however, it is also up to you what we learn! During the first week we will check in and see if there are any topics on the top of your mind that we can add to our discussions. We know group dynamics can be intimidating, but we do our best to make it easy, and fun. Come join and see what you think, you are not alone!
