About FSYR

FSYR is a Not for Profit, Charitable organization. We are committed to excellence in the provision of counselling for children, youth, women, men and their families. All counselling services seek to promote the fullest development of the individual. We believe in family in all its diversity.

FSYR partners with agencies across York Region to ensure that you receive the help you need; if we can’t help you we will help you find the appropriate resource.

Canadian Standards of Excellence Accreditation

FSYR is an accredited Counselling agency under Family Service Ontario’s, Canadian Standards of Excellence Accreditation Program. Our Professional Master’s level Clinicians are trained in a variety of areas such as Social Work, Psychology, Individual, Couple and Family Therapy, Art Therapy, Play Therapy and Group Counselling.

Accessible and Affordable

Counselling Services are available at our office locations across York Region as well as online. Fees are assessed on a sliding scale according to the individual’s income and ability to pay. A portion of the fee may be covered by subsidy or insurance. No one is turned away because of inability to pay. Proof of income may be required to ensure equity and fairness to those we serve.

Celebrating Diversity

An inclusive, diverse organization our professional staff offers services in 11 languages. Translation services are also available in some of our programs. All services are LGBTTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Two Spirit, Queer) Positive.
