Youth in Transition

Youth in Transition is funded through the Ministry of Children & Youth Services.  It is implemented through our Individual, Couple and Family Counselling Program (ICF). 

The objectives of this program are to promote healthy social-emotional development by enhancing the individuals’ resiliency and the nuturance of family and other supportive social relationships through the critical years of growth and transitions.

To reduce the negative effects of social-cultural dislocation (such as social isolation and loss of social status); social relational distress and trauma (such as relationship conflicts, separation and divorce, domestic violence and various forms of abuse) and emotional, cognitive and behavioural difficulties (such as depression, anxiety, learning disabilities and inappropriate aggressive behaviours).

Service Description:

• Individual counselling (including play therapy and art therapy)

• Family counselling

• Group counselling

• Psycho-educational workshops

• Inter-agencies collaboration and advocacy
